Float Glass Plant
Fuyao Glass

CHALLENGE
Fuyao Glass reached out to Moffitt about improving airflow in their building. A former General Motors automotive plant, this building is now the largest auto glass plant in the world. As with any glass plant, this enormous facility would get incredibly hot and stuffy. They desperately needed better float glass plant ventilation.
DESIGN
The ventilation design included twenty-five (25) 60” × 84” hooded natural ventilators, with manual dampers, and two (2) 72” × 72” LV6045 wall louvers for intake air. This natural ventilation solution would allow the hot air to exhaust from the building, while bringing in extra fresh air to improve air flow.
SOLUTION
North Regional Sales Manager Seth Nickol was able to provide excellent service on this project, making the preliminary site visit just a few hours after the first call. After he got the ball rolling, the rest of the Moffitt team provided turn-key installation by designing, manufacturing, and installing the ventilation system.
RESULTS
At the end of the day, Moffitt helped find a new float glass plant ventilation solution for this facility. Instead of sweltering all day, the employs are much more comfortable as they work on producing float glass. Moffitt can find a ventilation solution for your plant as well.
